Welcome to the Camp Ashmere home page!

2014 Thank You

Thank you for your support and participation in our 2014 camping season.  We had a great summer with stimulating overnight camps, and a five week day camp program, which saw our greatest growth. Our staff did a great job with the campers and everyone had a wonderful experience on the shores of Ashmere Lake. We thank each of the staff members for their service and devotion to the camp and campers, as many campers left with a new understanding of God and with Jesus in their hearts. We look forward to next summer which will be our anniversary as we celebrate 100 years of camping in this location in Hinsdale, and we hope that many of you will join us next year as we plan on having a very special season as a result. Our schedule and calendar of event s will be coming out by November at the latest, so watch for our announcements. Come and join in the fun and see what is new in 2015.

My children have been attending for over ten years.  Every summer I hear the question, “When is camp?”  They love the feeling of family they have there and reconnecting with people whom they have missed over the school year.  As a parent, it is so good to have a place where my children can go and learn the word of God in a fun and relaxed environment.  I am happy that I can send my kids to camp and know that are being taught the same values they are taught at home.  The experiences my children have at Camp Ashmere have helped them to grow as Christians and as caring people.  Thank you Camp Ashmere for giving my kids the experience of a lifetime!

Bike-a-Thon 2015 and Turkey Dinner

Join us for another Bike (or walk)-a-thon along the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail Saturday, October 18th starting at 9 am.  We will be starting at the Adams Visitor’s Center and riding or walking along the trail for as long and as far as you can to raise funds for Camp Ashmere and its programs. We are planning on building a pavilion at camp in the Spring and funds raised will go towards this program area, as our old round tent has been retired after 15 years of service. The bike/ride-a-thon has been a popular event in the past and we look forward to see more participants this year. Download the Sponsor sheet, get it filled up, and put on the miles Oct. 18th.  Later that day we will hold a turkey and all the fixin’s church dinner at First Baptist North Adams.  The dinner will be free for each participant who raises $100 or more in pledges.  The dinner will be $10 a person, $5 for children and those under 5 are fee free,  YUM! There will be two dinner seatings, the first at 5 pm and the second at 6:30.  Tickets will be sold prior to the dinner and at the door. We hope to see you there for both events. So mark your calendar today.
